Mini Makeover Party!
Not to make too much of it but we'd like to take credit for banding together last friday to party away the winter and evoke spring through the power of the almighty makeover! We had such a great time and we owe it all to the wonderful efforts of the most amazing wedding professionals you'll ever have the pleasure of working with and our wonderful brides and their loved ones who braved the rain to come out Friday night and get their makeover on!
We want to thank Jemma, Angie and the wonderful Renay from Rayne Salon and Spa who worked tirelessly all night to transform our brides by way of curls, braids, updos and soft, natural makeup. Thank you ladies, it was way more than just a mini makeover and we definitely could not have done it without you!
It was impossible to ignore spring like feelings set out by our wall of crystal and paper flowers hand made by the talented Renee Ferguson of The Beginning of Forever who also custom made the paper roses that topped our dressforms. What a way to set the mood! We connected with Renee through her Etsy store www.etsy.com/ca/shop/DreamEventsinPaper and were so stoked that she is a Toronto native! Thank you Renee, you are truly a find and we can't wait to work with you again!
I cannot say enough about our amazing florist, Flowers 597 who were responsible for the absolutely gorgeous take-away posies and the wonderful bridal bouquet and floral arrangements as well as the fantastic floral wreaths that were the perfect props for our photoshoot. They are the sweetest husband and wife team in the business and their talent for floral arrangements and their generosity are boundless. We are so thankful for their amazing work that night and for taking such great care of our brides who have chosen Flowers 597 to do their wedding flowers. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
We also want to thank the beautiful Blair Nadeau who graced our party with her wonderful millinery and elegant vintage style. Our brides fell in love with her incredible handmade hair adornments and her easy expertise. We are so excited to welcome another wonderful Canadian talent into our boutique! Stay tuned!
And a very special thank you goes to our photographers for the evening Andrea Leask, who led the bridal portraits and Sarah Renton who took all the wonderful candids! Andrea, who some of you may know, is also one of our wonderful consultants who's fashion background has taken her to NYC right out of school to do videography for Alberta Feretti and Veronica Beard. Sarah is a triple threat photographer, graphic designer, and web designer. We call them the "new gard", so watch out! :)
I also want to thank Anais Anette for lending us their 2014 collection as well as their wonderful designer and our friend, Magdalena Gmyr for the evening.
Thank you all again for coming out to celebrate Spring with us!
