Rachel Loves Alex
When jewelry designer Rachel Faith (Faith Ali) first came in for her custom consultation she brought with her a runway picture of a one sleeve bias cut silk jersey gown that had a brushed gold metal self belt and a thigh high slit. We were in love! After many discussions, some re-thinking and consulting with her "fam" we began the process of bringing Rachel's silk organza and tulle gown to life. We hand-dyed the French Alencon lace to compliment her blush skirt and then hand-beaded the lace with Swarovski crystals and tiny seed pearls. We added tiny Periwinkle crystals from Rachel's antique bead collection to add her "something blue" and Swarovski beaded crystal cap sleeves supported and provided bold contrast to the transparent silk organza blouse. It was rewarding enough to work with Rachel and then we saw her photos! We are just in love with her wonderful wedding at the gorgeous Sunnyside Pavillion captured so beautifully by Times & Paper. All the details of her beautiful wedding from her bouquet by Fresh Florals across the way, table florals by Flowers 597 , her great Labrodorite earrings, the vegan dining and their golden wedding bands made by the very talented bride was truly a reflection of the couple's love of a creative life. It was many inspired moments and last minute changes all tempered by Rachel's wicked sense of humour and avant-garde sense of style that made making her gown so memorable. It was a total blast working with Rachel and we cannot wait for the launch of her wedding band collection which we're sure will be a roaring success!
